Job Description
***The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required***Provides assistance and support to the technologist and to the department the Hospital Assistant II is assigned. As an integral part of the imaging team, assist and support the department assigned, to include the following:• Prepare patient for exam. Change patient.• Assist technologist in room turnover and cleaning of equipment• Provide transportation for patients to and from the department of radiology• Assist patient onto to the imaging table when necessary• Auditing and distribution of supplies and linen.• Transport of equipment or lab specimens when required.• Heightening awareness and practice of department safety policies including MR and radiation safety.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: • Requires High School Diploma • Read and write the English Language • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays if necessary Preferred Qualifications: • Prefer previous experience in a hospital acute care setting or imaging center. • BLS – CPR certified
