Join our dynamic Vascular Surgery Team. This team provides advanced surgical and endovascular treatment of vascular disease. Our Vascular advanced practice providers manage patients across the continuum of care from new patient consultation to surgery to post operative follow up and surveillance management. The Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant serves as a high-level professional with clinical, surgical/procedural, administrative and educational responsibilities in the care of adult patients requiring vascular and endovascular surgery. Under the clinical supervision of the Vascular Surgeon and management of Stanyan administrative leadership in partnership with the Heart & Vascular Director and Center Director of Surgical Services, the Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant will have a critical role in the inpatient and outpatient settings with both team member and individual duties. These responsibilities will include preoperative and postoperative patient examination and assessment, diagnosis and planning; treatment implementation, coordination and continuity; performance of specific procedures; development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality of care; education of patients, families and other health care practitioners. The Physician Assistant will also be cross-trained with colleagues on the General Surgical Service to provide mutual coverage during vacations, leaves, and periods of increased patient volume, as operational needs and staffing capacity permit.
