Job Description

  • The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care for mothers and babies. 

  • Function as members of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams

  • Carry out established nursing procedures and perform related duties as required

  • Perform nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision

  • Assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - A minimum of 2 years of recent full-time clinical RN labor and delivery experience in an inpatient setting including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum and well baby. - Carry out established nursing procedures, and perform nursing care for patients with complex needs. - The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications: - The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of recent nursing experience including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum, and well baby. - Prior MedSurg, TCU, ICU, step down experience preferred. - BSN Licensure/Certifications: - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California - Current American Heart Association CPR certification - Current American Heart Association ACLS certification - Current NRP certification - AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced EFM
