Job Description

Come join our dynamic, highly skilled Advanced Endoscopy inpatient APP team. The Advanced Endoscopy service provides state-of-the-art surgical treatments, including cyst-gastrostomy, endoscopic necrosectomy, endoscopy ultrasound-guided gastrojejunostomy, and endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage procedures. In addition, there will be opportunities to train in other advanced procedures, including EMR, ESD, POEM, ESG, TIF, endoscopic suturing, balloon-assisted enteroscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. We value individuals who are professional, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can prioritize and adapt to changing situations. Our Advanced Endoscopy APPs work at the top of the scope and manage patients independently in a collaborative environment with Fellows and Attending Physicians.

 

 

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing-approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). - Two (2) years of experience in an adult inpatient setting Preferred Qualifications: - One (1) or more years’ experience in gastroenterology or other procedural discipline in the past two years - Any prior experience in endoscopy in a gastroenterology discipline License/Certifications: 1. California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction 2. California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction 3. California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number, including Schedule II furnishing privileges 4. NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role Adult Inpatient (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC). 5. California Driver's License (if required for position) 6. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address 7. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 8. Additional required AHA certifications: None additional to BLS 9. Additional required certifications (such as ENLS): none
