Job Description

This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position will provide support to the Breast Care Clinic as an educator, advocate and care provider and is responsible for the care, treatment, and well-being of patients followed in the Breast Care Clinic.  Specific job duties will be reviewed annually based on volume and practice needs. The NP in the Breast Care Clinic provides job functions with a focus on breast disease including both malignant and benign breast conditions, breast-health issues, and survivorship and will work closely with the Cancer Center Medical Oncology practices, including satellite clinics, to provide comprehensive patient care. The APP will participate in projects, programs and other activities to support clinical practice and practice operations. 

Qualifications
Requirements: - One (1) to three (3) years. related Breast Cancer or Surgery experience as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of a one (1 ) year accredited NP Oncology Fellowship program. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in an Academic Medical Center - AOCNP® Certified. - Five years' experience in Oncology as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner - Experience in a high-patient-volume Oncology practice/environment is heavily preferred. License/Certifications: - California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position. - Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.- Accepted Certifications for this Adult position. Adult inpatient Accepted Certifications for this position: AGNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, ACNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC - Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California. - Complete a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner. - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address - Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. - Current AHA BLS. - State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. - Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
