Job Description
Under the supervision of the practice supervisor and in line with the policies of the Transplant Service and Ambulatory Services, the HOSP BLANK AST 3 will be responsible for various functions supporting the transplant clinical areas. This role requires a professional and courteous demeanor, with a focus on patient care and administrative tasks. The incumbent will work closely with the clinical staff, ensuring a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare training. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a transplant or surgical clinic. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly APEX, for documentation and patient management. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage patient appointments and administrative tasks. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. - Knowledge of insurance and authorization processes, ensuring compliance with regulations. - Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software. - A commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for providing high-quality healthcare services.
