This leadership role will support UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and San Francisco. The manager plans, develops, implements and directs the daily clinical and business operations of the Neurodiagnostics Department. This is a hands-on leadership role involving regular interaction with supervisors and staff and facilitating several detailed activities such as creating the monthly schedule and initiating supply orders. The manager is responsible for all inpatient and outpatient activities at both Parnassus and Mission Bay hospitals. The manager is responsible for hiring, orienting and/or training new staff, supervising technical and administrative support staff, organizing daily workflow, overseeing effective operation and timely maintenance/repair of equipment, initiating customer service and performance improvement projects, and serving as a resource to physicians, staff, patients, visitors and the community.
The manager works collaboratively with the Adult and Pediatric Epilepsy and Neurodiagnostic Medical Directors to supervise the daily clinical operations of the EEG/Epilepsy service at Oakland and Mission Bay Campus. The manager organizes the daily workflow and supervises the technical staff to ensure operation efficiency, technical quality and service excellence. The manager is also responsible for ensuring timely and accurate charge document submission, as well as developing, and monitoring the operating and capital budgets. The manager is responsible for the strategic growth and development of all Neurodiagnostic services. The manager will be responsible for developing new collaboration opportunities both internally and external to UCSF with the Director for Epilepsy Services.
