Job Description

The Senior Surgical Technologist will be a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for preparing and processing surgical instruments and equipment. With a primary focus on pediatric care, this role requires expertise in various surgical specialties and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care. The UCSF Medical Center offers a dynamic and team-oriented work environment, fostering professional growth and excellence.

This position requires flexibility to work across various UCSF Medical Center locations, including the Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Walnut Creek.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Two years recent scrubbing clinical experience in an acute care operating room - Recent experience (within last two years) scrubbing in at least three service lines: General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Orthopedics/Spine, Otolaryngology/Airway, Plastics, or Cardiac - Demonstrated proficiency in at least two surgical specialties - Active American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification for healthcare providers - High School Diploma; or equivalent experience - Graduate of a surgical technologist training program; or equivalent experience - The flexibility to work and orient at all UCSF Health locations Preferred Requirements: - Certification as a Surgical Technologist. - Pediatric experience desired License/Certifications: - Active American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification for healthcare providers
