Job Description
UCSF Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Practice Coordinator to join our team. The primary role is to act as a financial clearance gateway, working closely with administrative, clinical, and management teams. The coordinator will support billing and authorization functions, resolve issues, and prioritize tasks to enhance patient care and revenue management. This role requires an advanced understanding of healthcare processes and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent with 4 years of related experience, or a college degree with 6 months of experience. - Successfully pass fingerprinting protocol and be approved for cash collection if applicable. - Strong computer skills, including Officetype software and patient records systems. - Ability to analyze, prioritize, and develop solutions independently. - Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proven ability to deal with a diverse range of individuals and patients sensitively. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with strong writing abilities. - Demonstrated administrative and office coordination skills. - Knowledge of medical practice terminology. - Prior experience in healthcare, appointment scheduling, and EPIC is preferred.
