Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.

The Research Data Analyst (RDA) will serve as the Research Data Manager on the ARIA project and provide the architectural backbone for a large-scale, multi-department clinical neural data initiative.

Primarily, they will transform raw signals from a complex stack of clinical neural collection hardware into highly structured, analysis-ready datasets. Data pipeline software will be built from the ground up, designing robust systems capable of handling high-dimensional time-series data. Our goal is to use optimized storage using formats like TileDB or SQLite and ensure code quality through modern software tooling in languages such as Python or Rust. In building these architectures, the Research Data Analyst must author and implement rigorous clinical data collection protocols, seamlessly integrating hardware outputs with clinical capture systems like REDCap.

Additionally, the Research Data Analyst will act as the main coordinator of data distribution. Mostly, they will be orchestrating the dissemination of data between various parties across departments and institutions. Also, in part, they will be a collaborative partner to multi-disciplinary research teams, actively shaping the statistical and computational design of neural data analyses.
