Job Description

Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, the Hospital Assistant III plays a crucial role in delivering patient care and facilitating clinical procedures within the Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. This role involves a range of personal care and clinical tasks, including vital sign monitoring, patient preparation, and assisting with complex medical procedures. The Hospital Assistant III also ensures a professional and helpful working environment, adhering to Medical Center standards and policies. This position is based in outpatient clinical settings across UCSF Health sites, making a difference in patient care and clinic efficiency.

Qualifications
- Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience. - One year of experience as a Medical Assistant/Hospital Assistant in a medical practice. - Current American Heart Association CPR Certification. - Superior customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care. - Experience using and documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). - Previous experience in procedural/surgical specialty practices is preferred. - Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes is an asset. - Interest in pursuing advanced healthcare training or clinical careers. - Proficiency in using Box, Excel, Outlook, Teams, or similar collaboration platforms. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing clinic needs.
