Job Description

The CT Radiologic Service Supervisor provides supervision to technologists in a radiology modality (e.g. X-ray radiography, ultrasound, MRI, mammography and computed tomography (CT)). May also include supervision of radiology technical support staff. Oversees employees, enforces policies and procedures, and monitors productivity. Supervises staff productivity and performance; resolves or escalates daily clinical, and operational issues.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: • Minimum 7 years experience within the field of Radiology • Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of a radiology modality. Ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards. • Strong knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge and ability to monitor compliance with relevant internal policies and external regulations. • Demonstrated leadership skills in training and guiding employees on radiology modality techniques. Motivates and inspires staff to improve services. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex, challenging environment. • Ability to organize assigned staff and unit operations in an efficient and effective manner. Skills to coordinate schedules of the patient, doctor, technicians, and nurse to serve the patient in a timely manner. • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, researchers, radiology technologists, and other clinical staff. Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of patient populations and show sensitivity. • Skills to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and software malfunctions in order to contact appropriate service personnel. Demonstrated ability to solve problems and suggest solutions within defined procedures and policies through critical thinking • Verbal and written communication skills to explain technical radiology concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel. Required Licenses/Certifications: • ARRT • CRT (if applicable to modality) • Modality Specific Certification (e.g. CT, MRI, RDMS, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine) • BLS Preferred Qualifications: • 2-3 years previous supervisory skills • In-depth knowledge of radiology equipment in order to operate and monitor all relevant technology. • Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
