Department Overview

The Department of Clinical Pharmacy is one of three departments in the School of Pharmacy (SOP). The School of Pharmacy operates through the School’s strategic plan which was approved by the entire faculty in 2007. The three goals of the School are: creating a new framework for drug discovery and development, ensuring that more patients get the best results from their drugs, and shaping the future of pharmacy science, policy, education, and patient care by working in fresh and collaborative ways. Given the Schools Strategic planning, the Department has also met and adopted a mission and vision statement, under which it operates. The mission statement “To advance health through excellence and innovation in pharmacy education, patient care, research, and public service” and the vision statement “To be the best at bridging gaps in patient care, especially for the underserved” guide resource allocation and decision making within the Department.
