Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. 

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Minimum of one year full-time RN experience in pediatric inpatient setting - Recent RN experience in pediatric outpatient specialty care coordination - Recent experience with pediatric patient population in inpatient and/or outpatient setting - Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. - Recent experience in the use of electronic medical record documentation - Experience with use and care of portocaths, central lines and drawing labs required. - Phlebotomy experience required - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Required License/Certifications: - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse as defined by the California Board of Registered Nursing. - Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
