Please note: this is a temporary position, 24 hours per week in Oakland. Scheduled through July 6, strong possibility of extension.

The Practice Coordinator 2 (PC2) serves as a key administrative representative and primary point of contact for patients and referring providers. This role supports daily clinic operations, delivers high-quality customer service, and ensures efficient coordination of patient care across administrative and clinical teams.

Qualifications
Required: - Experience with EPIC (APeX) electronic health record system - High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience; or bachelor’s degree with 6 months of related experience; or equivalent combination - Ability to pass fingerprinting and be approved for cash handling (if applicable) - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate multiple electronic systems - Ability to analyze situations, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational, administrative, and office coordination skills - Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment under deadlines - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and provide patient-centered service - Basic math skills - Knowledge of medical terminology - Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Preferred: - Experience in a healthcare setting (medical, dental, or veterinary), including scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, or patient financial services - Experience with appointment, ancillary service, and/or surgical scheduling - Bilingual or multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Cantonese, Russian)
